Global health faces increasingly complex challenges. Armed conflicts, climate crises, persistent inequalities, funding pressures, and transformations in multilateralism are calling into question the cooperation models that have shaped global health over the past few decades.
In the face of these developments, it is becoming necessary to envision new forms of collaboration between international institutions, researchers, health professionals, civil society organizations, communities, and practitioners on the ground.
The Geneva Health Forum 2026 aims to provide a space for dialogue open to these diverse perspectives. For three days, participants from a wide range of backgrounds will come together to share their experiences, compare their approaches, and reflect on ways to strengthen cooperation in the field of health.

1. Call for Experiences
The Geneva Health Forum's discussions and debates draw on the knowledge, innovations, and experiences of the global health community.
We invite researchers, students, healthcare professionals, institutions, civil society organizations, and community stakeholders to submit an abstract outlining a project, initiative, experience, or research related to the challenges of global health cooperation.
We aim to highlight concrete approaches that can build connections between stakeholders, strengthen community participation, improve population health, or facilitate access to care in complex contexts.

2. What Types of Contributions Are We Seeking?
2.1. New Forms of Collaboration in Global Health

Global health cooperation relies on the ability of stakeholders with diverse expertise and responsibilities to work together.
We are seeking projects, initiatives, experiences, and research that foster collaboration between academic institutions, civil society organizations, communities, public authorities, international organizations, and other stakeholders involved in global health.
Contributions may focus on innovative partnerships, dialogue mechanisms, participatory approaches, collaborative platforms, or models that bridge the gap between research, field action, and public policy.

2.2. Health Promotion and Community Engagement
Communities play a vital role in the sustainable improvement of health and the reduction of inequalities.
We encourage submissions presenting projects, initiatives, experiences, and research in the areas of health promotion, prevention, health education, community mobilization, and citizen participation.
We are particularly interested in approaches that demonstrate how communities can become genuine partners in the transformation of public policies and health systems.

2.3. Access to Healthcare in Conflict Contexts
In areas affected by conflict, humanitarian crises, or fragile situations, ensuring access to healthcare is a major challenge.
We are seeking projects, initiatives, experiences, and research that highlight concrete solutions, organizational innovations, community-based approaches, or cooperation mechanisms to improve access to healthcare and the continuity of health services in these complex environments.
We welcome both field reports and scientific analyses or program evaluations.

3. Participate in the GHF Collaborative Poster Lab
Selected experiences will be presented as scientific posters.
Beyond the scientific exhibition, the Collaborative Poster Lab aims to use posters as tools for dialogue. Authors will be able to present their work, share their experiences, gather feedback from participants from different sectors, and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
Each participant is free to choose their level of involvement in the proposed activities. The goal is to offer an open, accessible, and stimulating environment where scientific knowledge, field experience, and innovative initiatives can meet and mutually enrich one another.

Selected authors will have the opportunity to:
• Present their work, projects, or experiences at the Geneva Health Forum 2026;
• Network with researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and representatives of international organizations;
• Promote their initiatives to an international community committed to global health;
• Identify new opportunities for collaboration and partnership;
• Participate in the Best Poster Award, with two prizes of CHF 1,000 each;
• Participate in the Science Speed Talks competition (for students only), with a prize of CHF 1,000;
• Benefit from publication on Zenodo with a DOI;
• Use the matchmaking application to connect with professionals working in the same field.

Whether you wish to share the results of a research project, present an innovative initiative, highlight a field experience or publicize a cooperation project, we invite you to contribute to the discussions of the Geneva Health Forum 2026 and to enrich the collective reflection on the future of global health.
