According World health organization,everyday 20.000 tenagers given birth and 200 death due complications,Pregnancy is a period of physical, emotional and behavioral change. Good oral health during pregnancy is crucial since it can also affect general health. Diabetes.There is a potential positive association between periodontal (gum) disease during pregnancy and adverse birth outcomes. Maintaining good oral health will have a positive impact on the lives of both mother and child. It is important to encourage pregnant women,special teenagers diabetes pregnants to access multi- professional health services, and in particular, to receive oral health advice. Metabolic changes causes by diabetes cause overload weigth,special in tenagers,leading to excessive fetal growth,obesity or death. Tenagers Pregancy is a Public Health Problem in the world The aim of this study was to verify if the Oral Health Booklets of the Global Child Dental Fund could improve both the clinical oral health and the dental knowledge of pregnant women diabetes tenagers 40 pregnant women were evaluated: 20 from a Test Group (TG) and 20 from a Control Group (CG),in the School Mathernity of Federal University of Rio de Janeiro,Brazil. All groups rececied oral health orientation,plus tooth paste and toothbrush.The Control Group receceived orientation with the Booklet of Oral Health Maternal and child Health Promotion, professional toothbrush and round circles for discutions. All tGroups were examined for glycemia;buffer capacity;resence of streptococus mutans;plaque and leeding Indexs and knwoledge before baseline,30 minutus after brushing(GT), 1 week and 1 month thereafter of both groups also completed a questionnaire on their knowledge of oral health. There was a positive impact of educational booklets on the oral health of diabetes tenagers pregnant ,increasing knowledged,decreasing plaque and bleeding index, Mutans Sterptococci, but the majority of tenagers did not control their glycemia
