People with (developmental) disabilities are one of the most vulnerable groups of the population and are especially exposed to risk in crisis situations. In the period of the COVID-19 crisis, these people were faced with numerous problems, such as: insufficient access to all types of health care, insufficient and inadequate information about the symptoms, protection measures, treatment and vaccination against this viral infection. What was missing and how to approach such and similar situations, taking into account the specific needs of people with (developmental) disabilities, are reasons for research. Examine the availability of health care for people with (developmental) disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic and contribute to improving their position in future crisis situations. Survey -Created for the purpose of obtaining information about the availability of health care to people with (developmental) disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. It comprises 9 questions. The survey covered 27 Associations Association of Societies of Mentally and Physical Underdeveloped Persons from the territory of our country with over 1000 users. The survey was filled out by the representatives of the Association carried out during January and February 2023. Information about the symptoms, protection measures and treatment of COVID-19, as well as the importance of vaccination and creating collective immunity, did not reach people with (developmental) disabilities in an adapted way. There was no registration for priority vaccination, nor the implementation of vaccination in adapted conditions, which would require good organization, more allocated time, patience and commitment of employees in health care institutions. There are some of the conclusions during the research. The part of the conclusion are proposals for improving the position of people with (developmental) disabilities in future crisis situations.
