Description
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine is entering its third year and millions of people have fled violence into neighboring countries or in other regions of Ukraine. Humanitarian assistance has been vital for many women led households on the move and the health issues encountered, centred on gender based violence prevention, psychosocial attention and essential health services have been drastically lacking in spite of numerous calls from local and international organisations. How can a foreign donor such as Swiss Solidarity embed the issue of women's health during migration in this particular environment, affected by large scale mobility of vulnerable populations? Our conversation will focus on the resources mobilized to assess the needs and the immediate and longer term responses that have been provided in this context.
